The Nature Reserce Albufera de Alcudia is a must-see during your stay in Mallorca. Without a doubt, it is the perfect place to go on excursions, on foot or by bike, and get to know all the native flora and fauna of Mallorca.
This Albufera is located very close to Alcudia and, therefore, to Finca Son Cladera. In 1988 it was declared a natural park and years later it also became part of the Wetlands of International Importance.
Thanks to its surface area and all the water it contains, it is one of the areas of Mallorca with the greatest diversity, both in terms of plants and animals. So much so that in 1992 the Psathyrella halofila, a fungus that has only been found in this part of the world, was found in the Albufera de Alcudia.

We are a Mallorcan family who live in Finca Son Cladera. The property has been in our family for generations and is almost a member of our family.
In the year 2022 we decided to transform the ‘possessió’ (as it is called in Mallorcan) so that we can continue to maintain it in the conditions it deserves and so that other people can also enjoy it.
Son Cladera is one of the main possessions of Sa Pobla, the municipality to which it proudly belongs. It has been a farm that has been used for mountain and plain crops; it has had an oil mill and also a mill.
It has also been a meeting place for Mallorcan cultural figures such as Costa i Llobera, María Antonia Salvà and Emilia Sureda i Bimet. The latter has dedicated several poems to the possessió.
Our family has had the honour of being the inhabitants of Son Cladera for several generations, having become, for many of us, our favourite place in the world.
